The Austin PMI Chapter provides "PMP Exam Prep" classes held at St. Edward's Professional Education Center off 183 at Echelon III in the Arboretum area. Classes consist of five consecutive Saturdays from 8 AM through 5 PM, with an hour for lunch, for a total of 40 hours. Ten instructors are used, so students get ten versions of war stories and how to pass the PMP exam! Materials included in the course are the PMBOK book (A Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge), Rita Mulcahys PMP test prep book, a CD of the course slides, and color charts of the 44 project management processes. Review the PMI PMP handbook to find out if you have sufficient hours of experience leading projects to be eligible to take the exam, and also how to sign up for the PMP exam after completing the exam prep course. The next class starts on April 12th! Cost: $795 PMI members, $945 non-members (PMI members also save $150 later on PMP test) Class dates are: April 12 - May 10, July 12 - August 9, and September 13 - October 11.
