Membership is open to any person who is interested and/or engaged in practicing, teaching, researching or otherwise applying project management. To become a member in the Austin Chapter, you must first join the global PMI organization. 

Chapters advance the mission and objectives of PMI by promoting professional standards and practices. Ongoing professional development is a key benefit to membership and is supported at the chapter level through activities, meetings, and educational programs.

Chapters provide the ability for project managers to increase their knowledge about project management, while also providing an opportunity for networking with fellow project managers.

How do I join the Austin Chapter?

• During the process of joining the global organization, you will find a section where you can select the "Component" (Chapter) that you would like to join. Membership in the Austin chapter is not mandatory; however, you will receive discounted pricing to the chapter's events. You may also choose to join Special Interest Groups (SIGS) and Colleges.

How do I join the Austin Chapter if I am already a PMI member?

• You can login to the Members Area of the global PMI website and, under the "Components" section, choose to "Add A Chapter".
