How do I join PMI?
- Membership is open to any person who is interested and/or engaged in practicing, teaching, researching or otherwise applying project management. To become a member in the Austin Chapter, you must first join the global PMI organization.
How do I register for the PMP Certification exam?
- Online Registration for the PMP or CAPM exam is handled on the global PMI website, www.pmi.org. Please note that you must meet the requirements in order to take the exam.
How do I join the Austin Chapter?
- During the process of joining the global organization, you will find a section where you can select the "Component" (Chapter) that you would like to join. Membership in the Austin chapter is not mandatory; however, you will receive discounted pricing to the chapter's events. For detailed instructions on how to join the Austin Chapter, click here. You may also choose to join Special Interest Groups (SIGS) and Colleges.
How do I join the Austin Chapter if I am already a PMI member?
- You can login to the Members Area of the global PMI website and, under the "Components" section, choose to "Add A Chapter".
How do I register for Austin Chapter events?
- Each event has its own registration web page – please go to the appropriate web page for the event in the Calendar section.
How do I volunteer?
- We have a MySignUp web page for indicating interest in volunteering. Please note that this is only a communication from members to the chapter leadership. You will be contacted separately to confirm your tasks.
How do I become a Committee Chair?
How do I become a member of the Board of Directors?
- Director positions are appointed by the Officers. Please contact the Officer associated with the Director position to express your interest.
- Officer positions are elected by the membership. The Nominating Committee prepares a slate for election each year. Please contact the Past President if you are interested in becoming an Officer.
